The kids were excited as soon as we pulled up to the side of the Florida Mall where the Crayola Experience was located. The bright colors and large crayons instantly captured our attention, inviting us in for a day of colorful fun. As a parent, one of my favorite parts of this attraction was the fact that it was indoors, which is a huge perk if you're looking for a rainy day activity.
You'll quickly discover that there are several activities to explore. No matter your kids' ages, there is something that each one will enjoy. I definitely recommend trying each activity at least once. Another perk is that unlike theme parks and most other attractions, the lines are bearable since the wait time isn't so bad.
Below are examples of some of the attractions we enjoyed during our visit.
Become a dancing crayon! Watch as a digital crayon characters mimics your every cool move in this playful attraction.
As soon as you walk in, there's a large screen that allows kids to create motion to control the character on the screen. It's a great way to distract the kids while parents check in.
NEW! Become a work of art! You become the work of art in this swirling explosion of color and light! The kids wanted to stay here for awhile. It will suck you in, but there is so much more to explore. Have no fear! You can email your creation to yourself to save your work.
Crayon Factory Show
Watch crayons made live! Join Scarlet & Turk (Turquoise), our animated crayon friends, and a real Crayonologist as they show you how crayons are made with real factory equipment.

This attraction is for the older kids because it was the most challenging. Or just let the little ones have fun exploring all the activities within the lab.
Be a Star
Say Macaroni & Cheese! Turn yourself into the star of a coloring page in this photo-booth attraction. We had a lot of fun as a family taking multiple photos that printed out as coloring pages. Make sure you snap some great shots to hang on the fridge!
Watch your art come to life in this digital coloring adventure. In this augmented reality experience, your coloring creation will come to life in front of you - don't forget to snap a selfie!
What a cool activity! I love how we were able to email ourselves all of these beautiful creations.
You can spend the whole day enjoying the Crayola Experience, so of course, there is Cafe Crayola where you can order food and drinks. Snacks are available, as well as pizza, sandwiches, salads, sweets, and gluten-free options.
While you're enjoying your meal, you may be lucky enough to time it just right to watch the interactive show that goes on right there in front of you at Cafe Stage. You'll learn about the science and magic of color behind your favorite Crayola products.
Audience participation is all part of the fun as kids and adults are encouraged to answer the questions.
